 Holding her hand warmed my chest  And I smiled so wholeheartedly I knew what love was again.  Her skin was soft and mine rough  I was afraid but she nestled her fine long fingers deeper in my hand.  I wanted to stop time and live forever in that moment.  Romance, love, deep sighs at night and when she wasn’t looking. I heard her sigh and I felt a kindred deep and true.  A thousand sunsets couldn’t color my life more than her hand in mine. “The clouds…” she said. “The clouds are what makes a sunset colorful”  Did I speak my thoughts out loud? “You are my clouds”.  And you are my sun. 

 “You know how the ocean looks when the sun is low and everything turns to gold? The waves are soft and long. There are glimmers of orange and red and yellow and sometimes that dark green pokes through? That’s her hair.”  He stared mindlessly into the horizon remembering how she smiled at his last dumb joke. “God I wish I could drown in her!”

 ...and so i kissed her. her lips on mine felt like ambrosia, i was immediately inebriated with passion. the softness of her kiss consumed my senses. i felt a strand of her obsidian hair fly in between our kiss and she smirked in a way that just melted my entire existence and pulled away. "I...always thought you'd be a good kisser" she said as she pushed her hair behind her ear. I tried to copy her smile, trying to summon all the charisma i've ever dreamed of having. i stepped in closer to her, feeling her body pressed against mine. i slowly leaned in for another kiss. this time i moved in slower, adoring her blue eyes. This time she slowly caressed my back until she was almost hugging me and then strongly pushed her body against mine. "i can feel all of you" she whispered in between kisses. our breathing got heavier and heavier and suddenly i found myself holding her, her legs wrapped around my waist. "Wait, are you sure we can do this?" i managed
