2 days lost

on a working haze for the last two days. I self imposed a deadline for sunday evening but i made the mistake of telling my (mini) boss about it. he's been on my case about it. Monday came and i worked at a normal pace thinking that everything was going well until late that evening he checked with me "can i get a draft of what you have so far?". panicked set in. i didn't want him to think i've been goofing off or anything of the sort, it's just been a busy week last week and the process is taking much longer than anticipated. So i worked all night to have something in the morning. I told him i'd have something ready by lunch. Cue in the morning work and things get busy in lab. around mid-morning i get a reply "that's ok, just have it in by end of day". "end of day" what does that mean, work day? midnight? as things got busier and the lack of sleep started to kick in, i took it to mean before the start of work wednesday.

We had a tour in lab for the first time in 2021, and for the first time in a long time. even though it was virtual it was still a lot of work to do. we were awfully unprepared. it was still kind of fun maybe inspiring someone to do science.

came from work in the late evening. of course the day had to go long. i ordered food because i knew i wouldn't have time to cook that night.  as soon as i ate i got to work again. i worked until 5:36am.

The only awesome stuff for the lost days was that i was able to sneak in some workout time. boy was it needed! e and i are still trying to do the workout thing in the off days so she suggested it and i couldn't pass it up. once again having a cool workout friend makes a difference. i'm not afraid of pushing it a little to get a better workout and i'm not afraid of looking a little foolish, so thank you e!

Today things are going pretty slow but i wrote some bomb-ass birthday cards and i'm looking forward to handing them out. i'm on my way to a cider place that has outdoor seating and i'm hoping i don't freeze to death. cheers!
